Ground Improvement Systems, LLC (GIS) is a licensed distributor of the Vistawall (VAWS) Stabilized Earth Wall (SEW) technology. GIS specializes in the design, analysis, and supply of ground improvement systems. GIS designs and supplies Mechanically Stabilized Earth (MSE) retaining wall structures.

The Grid-Strip soil reinforcing is an alternate soil reinforcing element to the widely used, and approved, wide-mesh, crimp-mat, soil reinforcing offered by VAWS. The Grid-Strip was developed to avoid the cutting and splaying of the soil reinforcing to avoid obstructions and to minimize the need for specialized structural frames to bypass the obstruction. The Grid-Strip system meets or exceeds all AASHTO and FHWA design requirements.

The Grid-Strip is a versatile system. The end connector that is located at the proximal end of the Grid-Strip can take many forms. This allows the system to be connected in various ways to a wide variety of facing elements.
